Sovereign Body & Mind

Three ways your shop could look

First — what this page is. This is not your shop. It's three sketches, sitting one after another on a single page, so you can see them next to each other. A bit like holding three paint colours up against the wall before deciding.

Your real shop hasn't changed. It's still where it was, at sovereignbodyandmind.myshopify.com with the password amber. Nothing on this page is switched on, nothing here can be bought, and nothing costs you anything.

The products and prices below are just yours, dropped in, so you can see how your things would sit in each one.

Nothing happens until you pick one. Once you do, I build that one properly and it becomes your actual shop.

So — these aren't three colour schemes. They're three genuinely different shops: different shapes, different ways of showing what you make, different feelings when you land on them.

Scroll all the way through. Direction 03 scrolls sideways — give it a push with your thumb.

When you're done: text me 1, 2 or 3. That's the whole job. Liking bits of one and bits of another is a perfectly good answer too.

Direction 01

Warm & editorial

What you've been looking at. A big photograph, cream paper, a soft serif. It asks people to slow down and read a little before they buy.

Leans hardest on photography — it is mostly picture.

Direction 02

The Apothecary Index

No big photograph at all. It opens with words, then lists what you make like a formulary — numbered, ruled, priced in a neat column. Closer to the inside of an old chemist's catalogue than a website.

Barely uses photographs — which right now is a feature, not a compromise.

Rituals for body.

Power in you.

Poured, cut and finished by hand, a few at a time. There is never very much of any one thing at once.

Photographs small and quiet. The words do the work.

Direction 03

The Shelf

You land on the products, not a picture. A row you push sideways with your thumb, like walking past a table at a market. Scent choices show as little dots before anyone taps in.

Built for a phone and for selling fast. The least reading of the three.

Why I'd go with 02

I've changed my mind since the last set, and here's the honest reason. The photographs on your shop right now aren't yours — they came from the site your friend built. Direction 01 is mostly photograph, so it will only ever be as good as pictures we don't have yet.

02 barely needs photographs. It's carried by your words and by the list of what you make, and both of those are real today. It looks like something made by hand rather than something ordered online, it loads instantly on a phone, and it's the one that would make somebody at the Bark Bazaar assume you'd been doing this for twenty years.

03 is the one to keep in your back pocket. Once you have your own photographs and more products, that shelf will sell hard — but it needs stock and pictures to look full, and today it would look a bit empty.

Text me 1, 2 or 3. Remember none of this is live yet — your shop carries on exactly as it is until you choose.

And if you want 02's front page with 01's warmth, say so — that's an easy mix, and honestly it might make the best shop of the three.
